More than 100 of my On-Line Auction Tracker Spreadsheets sold!

I have been selling on eBay since May 13, 1999.  If you click the link above, you will learn that I do not only sell my spreadsheets.  I have been a coin collector for quite some time and have sold many coins and other items as well.   One of my most popular items on eBay though has been my On-Line Auction Tracker Spreadsheet.  I have sold more than 100 of these.  I developed this sheet early in my eBay experience.  After a while, I realized how valuable a tool this was to me.  I began selling it to other eBay members, with great feedback.   The feedback from the link above is intended to demonstrate the ethics that I bring to my business dealings.  I never desire an unhappy customer!

A Huge Quality Assurance Sheet!

More Than 12 Megabytes!

I have created a very large QA Call Monitoring "database" spreadsheet for a call center.  This call center has more than 600 employees in two countries.  It was supposed to be used for 3 to 5 months while a database was being built.  It was in service for more than a year and a half!   It is used for scoring calls monitored by the QA Department.  Three different types of calls are monitored with the most detailed scoring 35 attributes.  Each attribute is weighted from 1 to 5 and the calls are scored on a 3 point scale.   Detailed Reporting functions have been added to this tool.  These allow for reporting at every level.  These reports include scoring, extraction of comments and some comparative analyses.

Young doctors seeking a "paperless" environment!

One of my early projects was to work with three young doctors.  They wanted their practice to be as near "paperless" as possible.  What I created for them was a standard form that did some of the following...   *  As much as possible was auto-populated. *  Out of spec results were highlighted to draw attention. *  Numerous calculations were automated and much more.   Their feedback about this project was...   "My highest recommendation goes to Excel-Programmer. He did a superb job for us very promptly. His expertise with Excel as well as professionalism are exceptional."   They were so pleased with the job, I was awarded three additional jobs (thus far) and their payment for the first job included a "bonus" above the quoted bid!

Having served as a Data Analyst, I often needed to repetitively extract and format data.  Facing this need, I have automated several of these functions using extensive macros.   Some of the macros that are frequently used will run for two hours at a time.  This is a huge time saver.  This task is performed about 100 times each month.  (Imagine doing this manually!)  I have three PCs at my work station.  Two are almost always running macros and one I work on.  When I leave for the day, all three are running macros overnight.   I once created a macro that ran for almost four days!

They needed one LARGE sheet of data "sliced" and "diced" to be usable.

This company obtains a large sheet full of information on a monthly basis.  They needed to be able to look at sections of this data based on certain criteria and wanted each section separated to its own spreadsheet.   When it was all said and done, my macro took their data sheet and created more than 30 separate sheets for them.  Each with an Overview Page.   Their feedback about this project was...   "Will contact you should we need macro services again. Thanks!!"   Macros are one of my specialties.

Data Manipulation

One of the monthly tasks that I face in my job, is a Performance Review Tool.  This tool is brought together from about seven different sources of data.  Some of this data needs to be converted into Excel compatible forms.  Each set of data needs to be manipulated into a useable format.  I employ macros heavily to make this happen.   The end result is a sheet that is an extremely valuable tool for providing feedback to the employees.
